Q: I’m having trouble posting my videos to QFive. How can I fix the problem?
Posting a video from YouTube (embedding)
- Don’t just copy and paste the link into your post, because this will not embed the video on the site and add it to your profile. Make sure to select the “Video” icon and a window will appear with instructions on how to properly embed, describe, and tag the video.
- Paste the link into another browser window to make sure it copied correctly from YouTube.
- Some YouTube videos have embedding disabled, which means that you cannot display them through other sites. If this is the case, you will need to post the video from another YouTube source or upload it directly to QFive.
Uploading directly to QFive
- When the “Add Video” window opens, switch to the “Upload” tab. Select the file from your computer, add tags and a description, and start uploading. Depending on the size of the file, it may take some time to upload and render properly, so be patient.
- If your video is more than ten minutes (?) long, it may be difficult to upload it to the site. Close the window and try again in a few minutes. If you still can’t get it to work, send us an email and we’ll try to help you fix the problem. You can always upload the video to YouTube and then embed it on your profile.
Q: I posted a video successfully in the past, but now when I look for it on my profile, it won’t play. What happened?
A: Most likely, something happened to the original video on YouTube. The video may have been removed by the user or by YouTube, so you should check the original. If it has been removed, you’ll need to re-post the video from another source or upload it directly to QFive. If the video plays on YouTube but will no longer load on the site, email us at help@qfive.com and we will try to respond to the problem.
